The top recreational AIDA level — deep, technical, and mental. You'll push toward 32 metres, learn advanced equalisation, and train for confident, controlled deep freediving.
AIDA 4★ is the most advanced recreational freediving course, covering mouthfill equalisation for depths where Frenzel alone stops working, dives toward 32 metres constant-weight, rescue technique from 30 metres, and significant mental training — visualisation, relaxation under pressure, and managing the last, hardest metres of a dive.
You need a current AIDA 3★ certification (or equivalent) and to be at least 18 years old. Most candidates arrive with real dive experience beyond the minimum requirement, since this level rewards a solid foundation.
Dahab's calm, deep, crystal-clear water — especially the Blue Hole — makes it one of the world's best places to learn freediving. All AIDA courses here are taught by certified freediving instructors, with small groups and all equipment included. The Blue Hole's depth and the presence of experienced local freediving instructors make Dahab one of the world's genuine training hubs for this level.
AIDA 4★ in Dahab costs €400 through our verified partner centres, including instruction, safety supervision and equipment. Reserve online for free and pay at the dive centre on the day. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before you start.
From here, many freedivers move toward AIDA Instructor training or specialised depth/dynamic disciplines — ask your instructor about options once you're certified. Prefer scuba? See our PADI courses in Dahab.
