Just north of town, Eel Garden takes its name from the colony of garden eels that carpet its sandy slope, swaying in the current like grass. Alongside is a healthy, colourful coral garden and an easy reef to explore at a gentle pace — a relaxed, photogenic shore dive that beginners love.
Shore entry and a shallow, easy profile around 12–18 m. Usually calm with light current; approach the eels slowly and they'll stay out of their burrows. Great for underwater photography.
