What you learn

The Advanced Open Water course is five dives, no classroom exam required. Two are fixed — Deep Diver (to 30m) and Underwater Navigation — and you choose three more from options such as Wreck, Drift, Boat, Fish ID or Peak Performance Buoyancy, tailored to what Dahab's dive sites offer. Each dive is briefed and led by your PADI instructor.

Requirements

You need to be a certified PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent from another agency) and at least 12 years old. No exam and minimal theory — this course is almost entirely in the water.

Where you'll dive

Dahab's Advanced course typically uses deeper sites like Canyon and The Bells for the Deep dive, with Navigation and specialty dives at sites matched to conditions on the day — the same real sites featured on our fun dives page.

Price and what's included

The Advanced Open Water course in Dahab costs €300 through our verified partner centres, including all equipment, dive guide/instruction and free hotel or camp pickup arranged by email. Reserve online for free and pay at the dive centre on the day. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before you start.

After Advanced

Advanced Open Water is the usual prerequisite for the Blue Hole and for our Rescue Diver course — a natural next step if you want to keep progressing.
